I can’t even express well enough how humbled and honored I feel to have been chosen to photograph this gorgeous family. Crystal is a talented photographer herself and I was pretty excited when she wrote me. This was a mini session and just truly an opportunity for Crystal to have new family photos of all of them together. Being a photographer herself I’m pretty sure she doesn’t get to be in many photos with her loves.
I have to say that the weather wasn’t cooperating with us at all. We had to reschedule this session and the day we finally were able to do it, a sunny day, the weather starts to change and we were now facing a possibility of a thunderstorm. We decided to roll with it and try, and I am SO glad we did! We didn’t get the sunshine, it was cloudy and moody, and it started raining pretty much 20 minutes or so after we started. We had fun literally running from the rain to take cover under a tree. In the end, driving back home, I drove through the storm and it was bad. Now I look back at all this craziness and think…they are really unimportant. We had the MOST important thing we needed for this mini session. And I hope you can see it through these photos.
If you read the “about me” in my website you will know that my heart is into capturing REAL. A photo session with little ones is crazy, busy, messy, and I LOVE it because that’s what I want. I want you to create memories with your loves and to have these moments captured for a lifetime.
Crystal, I absolutely loved meeting your beautiful tribe and I hope these photos do justice to the precious love you guys share. Rain, thunders, storms, clouds…that’s all so insignificant when all we really need to have is your love shining. And we did have that! That’s what we need the most to make a truly beautiful picture. I’m honored you chose me. XOXO!
